AdvancedMD Rolls Out 20+ Product Updates, Including Improved Patient Cards and New Population Health Reports

The redesigned Patient and Responsible Party Card framework offers an improved, more comprehensive user experience that streamlines workflow processes

South Jordan, Utah, February 11, 2025 – AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, today announced its 2025 Winter product release, rolling out more than 20 updates across its practice management, EHR, and patient engagement platform. Among the latest updates is the newly enhanced Patient and Responsible Party Cards that are part of the AdvancedMD practice management tier. The redesigned cards include a more intuitive and comprehensive user experience, allowing healthcare providers to quickly view high-level patient information while easily accessing more detailed records as needed.

In addition to the enhanced Patient and Responsible Party cards, AdvancedMD is rolling out a Clinical Notes AutoSave feature as part of its EHR solution to enable more efficient documentation workflows and an all-in-one Population Health reporting system that delivers MIPS and Qualified Registry reporting capabilities.

“AdvancedMD is starting 2025 with a bang! Our latest product release includes more than 20 updates across our practice management, EHR, and patient engagement solutions—all focused on giving healthcare providers and their staff a more streamlined, intuitive experience regardless of the task,” said Tim Costantino, Vice President and Head of Product, AdvancedMD. “There is so much to be excited about: Our newly enhanced Patient and Responsible Party Cards make accessing patient information so much easier. We have also integrated Population Health reporting capabilities to help support providers participating in value-based care programs. Whether you’re working in the practice management side of our platform, our EHR, or our patient engagement, our latest product updates illustrate our stance as a leader in healthcare technology innovation.”

Not only do AdvancedMD customers now have access to enhanced Patient and Responsible Party Cards, AdvancedMD Practice Management is gaining multiple new features:

  • Billing IDs can now be assigned beginning and ending dates for billing ID exceptions, ensuring accurate claim submissions while saving time.
  • The Professional Providers System Settings have been streamlined, now grouping related settings in a single, centralized location to save time and reduce complexities for more efficient management of provider settings.
  • A new Application Services module lets customers request, approve and add multiple providers in a single batch.

In addition to the newly added Clinical Notes AutoSave feature and Population Health reporting capabilities, EHR product release highlights include:

  • New pediatrics and care templates (intake forms, clinical note templates, guides, etc.)  have been integrated into the EHR.
  • The Dashboard Worklists have been updated to gain improved visibility for annotations and messaging to help save time when searching charts for critical information.
  • Lab results are now automatically linked to their corresponding lab orders, with lab PDFs connected to the results within the timeline—providing a much more streamlined workflow process for clinical and admin staff.

The AdvancedMD Patient Engagement product release highlights include:

  • A new Zoom telehealth feature, defined as the ‘Patient Pre-call Telehealth Waiting Room,’ allows patients to click the ‘Join Call’ button from the meeting hub up to 60 minutes prior to the scheduled telehealth appointment time, giving patients more time to set up the call and prepare for their virtual appointment.
  • AdvancedMD customers now have more efficient front-desk workflows for telehealth appointments with improved intake capabilities, including new worklist features and the ability to require credit card on file information prior to the appointment.
  • The telehealth Pre-call Chat feature within the AdvancedMD mobile clinical app can now be accessed from the Provider List View, making it possible for providers to respond to patient inquiries for upcoming telehealth appointments in real time.

In addition to the general rollout of these product updates, AdvancedMD is launching a number of beta features for its practice management and EHR solutions to a select group of customers. A complete list of all the product release updates, including the beta features, can be found at: 2025 Winter Release.

AdvancedMD has also created a training webinar overviewing the newly launched product updates, along with a video highlighting the newly enhanced Patient Cards.
