With Francisco Partners’ acquisition complete and AdvancedMD a standalone company again, AdvancedMD achieved record-breaking revenue and customer growth in 2024 and is excited for the year ahead with expanded products and newly appointed CEO and CFO
South Jordan, Utah, March 19, 2025 – AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, today announced that Amanda Sharp has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and that Bryan Hunt has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer. The leadership announcements come on the heels of the company’s agreement to be acquired by Francisco Partners, with the acquisition closing in December 2024.
Sharp, who has served as the company’s president since 2019, first joined AdvancedMD more than 18 years ago as an intern. During her tenure, she has held multiple leadership roles, including President and Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Sharp was named one of the “Women in Health IT to Know” in 2024 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Bryan Hunt joins AdvancedMD from his previous role as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Advisor of Health Catalyst, a data and analytics healthcare technology provider. During his over ten years at Health Catalyst, Hunt also served in leadership roles in the finance organization. Prior to joining Health Catalyst, Hunt gained experience as an investment banker with Deloitte Corporate Finance and with Moelis & Company. At AdvancedMD, Hunt will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial functions.
In the past year, AdvancedMD has experienced measurable growth, increasing the total number of ambulatory care practices that leverage AdvancedMD solutions to more than 65,000 practitioners across 14,000 practices and 900 independent billing service companies. The company has continued to grow revenue on an annual basis each year since its inception in 1999. Additionally, AdvancedMD has also recently added multiple integration partners, including Jopari Solutions, Inc. (electronic billing for Workers’ Comp with attachments) and Mental Health Technologies (automated behavioral health screening process).
