The Intelligent Practice
We just concluded our seventh annual AdvancedMD user conference, Evo19, in Orlando, Florida. This was our highest attended conference, which shows the value these conferences provide.
We heard from three AdvancedMD clients, who shared their amazing personal stories about lessons they’ve learned by running practices in multiple locations and states, the role technology plays, how and why they chose AdvancedMD and how AdvancedMD technologies have helped them grow and be more productive. Thank you to Simon Hargus at First Settlement Physical Therapy, Deidra Jacobs-Manning at SAAFE Behavioral Services and Birken Olson at CommunityMed Urgent Care for sharing their stories.
We continued the Evo tradition by providing service to a meaningful cause. This year AdvancedMD Cares assembled school supply kits for central Florida kids donated by AdvancedMD team members. Thanks to attendees for assembling more than 1,000 kits.
The breakout sessions let attendees customize and learn about their specific areas of responsibility. Sessions were taught by experts and clients alike and covered our entire suite of technologies from front office, clinical, billing, reporting, business intelligence, telemedicine and patient experience. Attendees experienced valuable opportunities to network with hundreds of peers who face the same successes and challenges you’re experiencing.
The Expert Hall was buzzing with excitement and learning as attendees received free, unlimited hands-on training. This one-on-one time with support, implementation and product experts, deepened and strengthened your AdvancedMD knowledge, specific to your individual needs, allowed you to share your feedback and ideas, and learn about our ongoing commitment and vision to our AdvancedMD community, products, services and roadmap.
More than a dozen of our Marketplace partners showcased integrated solutions for nearly every area in your practice. Check out our marketplace partners.
During our client appreciation night, we gained exclusive access to see Disney’s Animal Kingdom amusement park for a night of fun and networking. We enjoyed dinner at a quaint African village, flew on a Banshee in the Avatar Flight of Passage ride and networked with members of other high-performing practices. See photos in our Facebook albumUltimately, Evo gave everyone an opportunity to learn, network with the best and brightest minds, and grow by increasing knowledge of our entire suite of technologies, breakout sessions and marketplace partnerships, earn CEU credits and have some fun. We thank you for making the commitment to be part of a community of independent providers, with the aim of using integrated workflow and personalized service to ensure the health of your patients and practice. It was truly a successful event. Enjoy this fun video summarizing Evo19. We appreciate your willingness to spend a few days with us and for giving us your valuable time and support.
With the tremendous success of Evo19, I’m announcing that in 2020 we are taking Evo on the road and offering this valuable conference in local venues by visiting major cities all across the country. These regional user group events are called Expert Roadshows and allow us to reach more of you across the country with less burden on your time and to give you the great personal experience and consulting so many of our customers have asked for.
As always, thank you for your continued business and support. Contact us with questions or suggestions. Please share this newsletter with your colleagues.
Sincerely,
Amanda Hansen
President
Due to the continued positive responses we’ve received from Evo19 attendees and past Expert Roadshows, we’re excited to add more stops to our Expert Roadshow tour by bringing the event to a city near you.
The purpose of the Expert Roadshow is to provide one-on-one consulting to help you and your practice get the most out of AdvancedMD. We’ll answer your questions and solve your toughest problems within your own office key, give you the opportunity to be heard by a product owner and receive demos on any product features.
We’ll be sending experts from our professional services, support, product and sales teams. Schedule as many hours as you and your team need – when it’s convenient for you. Each consulting hour is only $99, normally $250 per hour, so the savings are significant.
We would love the opportunity to work in person with your team. Locations will be announced early 2020.
Jessica Kojima
Vice President, Professional Services

Frequently Asked Questions
Verifying Day Close
Checking the Day Close status of a visit should be the first troubleshooting step if a claim is not being processed/sent. Visits that are not closed by day will not be processed in the Claim Submission Wizard.
Here’s how to check the Day Close status of the visit.
- Access patient chart.
- Click the History tab.
- Find the visit in the table.
- Open Charge Detail by double-clicking any charge on the visit.
- Find the Closed field below the Modifier boxes in the upper left corner.
An N in the Closed field means the visit hasn’t been part of a Day Close and will not be processed as a claim in the Claim Submission Wizard.
Did You Know?
The End of Day Wizard isn’t the only way to close your day. You can close your day anytime by running the report at Reports > Billing > Day Sheet Final and choosing to close the day when prompted.
