The Ultimate Wish List for Santa

Summary of Practice Wishes

We asked you to share the one big wish you’d ask Santa this year for your practice. Your responses revealed a lot of creativity, big dreams, sincerity, and a lot of heart. There were even a few who found a loophole in the, “you can’t ask people to fall in love,” rule.

Thank you for participating! Here’s a summary of the most prominent wishes. We hope you enjoy seeing what your colleagues are wishing for this year. As a reminder, all responses were anonymous (good for you but makes it hard for Santa to respond…).

Better Pay
Several people wished for more pay. Many requests were simply, “a raise,” “a cost-of-living raise,” “hike in salary,” or “pay increase.” However, one respondent was more explicit about their situation: “CHRISTMAS BONUS FROM MY COMPANY. THEY’RE STINGY AND DON’T AWARD THEIR WORKERS.”

Money, Money
Not surprisingly, cash money was a popular request. Some asked for specific amounts, ranging from “a billion dollars,” to “$300 billion.” Others left it to Santa’s discretion, asking simply for “a Sugar Mummy” and the possibly humbler “any amount will do.”

Big Dreams
There were lots of big dream requests. We love the creativity and big aspirations! Cars were popular, with simply “car,” and “new car” at the top of the list. Others were more specific, asking for “Mustang,” and one who obviously has done the research and has a specific adventure in mind: “Pre-owned Subaru Crosstrek in good condition with low miles.”

The biggest dreamers had their eyes on jet-set luxuries: “To own a private jet, a yacht, super cars, sports bikes, and to be a billionaire.” Another was a little more focused: “To get the yacht and private jet.” Others were more about travel and seeing the world: “Go on a world tour,” and “Get our passports to visit outside the country.”

Modest Dreams
Many others had simple requests for smaller, more practical gifts – the size that might more easily fit in Santa’s bag and workshop budget. Here’s a smattering of their wishes:

  • Heated yoga mat
  • A pair of Jordan shoes size 10.5 🙂
  • Lipstick box
  • A vacation
  • Sony PlayStation 5 Pro
  • Chocolate
  • iPhone
  • A small gift
  • 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Lol

Wishes for the Practice
Requests for the practice covered the gambit, from comfort measures to equipment to growth and personnel.  Here are some of the highlights:

Comfort

  • Vending machine for my practice! Too many of us go through an entire twelve-hour shift without the caffeine boost we so desperately need.
  • Massage chair/table (multiple requests).

Equipment

  • A fax machine!!
  • Please, a new EKG Ours is from the Flintstone age.
  • A new telephone system!

Growth and More Patients. This was a strong theme. Here are a few samples:

  • More patients!
  • Have our office full of patients
  • A donation for new business owners! The first year was tough!
  • A BUNCH MORE GOOD AND PROFITABLE CLIENTS FOR OUR BILLING SERVICE!!!

There was one request for “a brand-new office manager,” which is totally within the rules (unlike asking for people to fall in love – see the last category below).

Giving From the Heart
Turning the tables a bit, many good-hearted souls requested ways they could make an impact in the lives of others who are struggling at this time. These requests truly reflect the spirit of the season. Here are a few examples:

  • Heaters and tiny homes sent to all that are needy in Western North Carolina since so many are living in tents at this cold time of year, and so many children are doing without Santa too.
  • More people to have access to counseling. And I am willing and able to give more free time to people.
  • Magic wand to grant the resources people need to self-actualize.
  • Method of communication that allows everyone to understand and know they are enough just as they are. 🙂

Peace, Positivity, Joy
With so much turmoil in the world, many requests wished for a more peaceful, positive, and happy world. Wishes such as, “Joy and happiness,” “World peace, no guns,” “Peace, love and happiness,” and “A lot of happiness for the world,” were frequent. One seasoned wisher summed it up this way: “The news politically seems frightening.  Just be kind, remember what your values are, provide services to others as you would want for your most loved family member.”

Family and Friends
Many seem to long for healing and strengthening family relationships, reflected in this sampling of wishes: “Family to get along and be happy together this year,” “Family that gets along,” “A day to just enjoy family and be there for my partner,” and “I need a sweet home.”

One wish reflected the professional reality of the power of family and loved ones on healing: “I would like to have more people recognize the importance of reaching out to loved ones they have lost contact with. Family support systems are most often the crucial piece needed to help clients reach their goals.”

Love is in the Air
Last, but not least, there were a few wishes that managed to skirt the “you can’t wish for people to fall in love” rule, which we suspect Santa inherited from the Genie. That said, since the holidays are a time of peace and love, and since romantic wishes and memories also fill the air, these requests seem totally appropriate:

  • Husband material
  • Good man, lol.
  • Marry marry Christmas

Happiest holiday wishes from your friends at AdvancedMD!
