As our mobile apps evolve to support modern features and security enhancements within new operating systems, it becomes necessary to discontinue support for older, legacy operating systems. Supporting older OSs not only restricts our innovation, but it can also expose potential security vulnerabilities and defocus our testing resources.
In 2021 we supported five iOS versions – including iOS15 – in our mobile applications which include AdvancedMD Mobile, Patient Kiosk, Front Office and AdvancedMD Connect. Supporting five versions of iOS is not sustainable and we need to discontinue support for any iOS before 13. We are planning to make this change part of our 2022 Spring release, slated for mid-March.
