Important NPI Change

Effective May 23, 2008, all providers will be required to send their NPI number (National Provider Identifier) on all claims, both paper and electronic, as stated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Are you ready? Read the NPI FAQ to find out all you need to know.

If your provider has an NPI, it simply needs to be entered into the Provider Master File for that provider. Information on obtaining NPIs and setting them up in AdvancedMD may be found in our Online Help and in our NPI FAQ.

Please refer to Relay Health’s website for more information on carrier readiness. After your provider’s number(s) are entered, your carriers can be setup to send NPI only. Again, refer to our Online Help or the NPI FAQ for information on this configuration.
