"I have talked with hundreds of offices and recommended AdvancedMD. They will not regret it."
Medical industry statistics claim over 50% of electronic medical record implmentations fail. You've chosen your methods of documentation because they work for you, so who are we to tell you differently? Whether you prefer to write, type, or dictate, AdvancedEMR fits into and simplifies your workflow. Receive the benefits of EMR without the hassle of changing your encounter style.
Type or write
If you want to type or write your notes, you can open a Microsoft Word template directly from the documentation screen. When you set up AdvancedMD and AdvancedEMR, our trainers will teach you how to create these templates through AdvancedMD. To type, simply select a template, click the Create Word Document button and begin typing. To write, you follow these same simple steps on a tablet PC and use its built-in handwriting recognition. The Word document you create using either of these methods is automatically associated with the patient's file and available in real time as documentation for anyone who might need it.
Transcribe
Transcribing a document through AdvancedEMR is very much like using a handheld recorder. When you click on the Dictate button on the documentation screen, a recorder appears. If you're using a tablet PC, you then simply dictate into the embedded microphone. On a traditional PC, you only need a compatible microphone or headset. Your dictation is saved as an electronic voice file and once uploaded, it becomes immediately available to the on-site or off-site transcriptionist through the Transcription Desktop.
Transcription Desktop
The Transcription Desktop is a utility included with AdvancedEMR that allows each transcriptionist access to voice files as soon as they are uploaded.. Each transcriptionist is assigned unique login credentials that limit their view to the Transcription Desktop.
This compact tool provides everything a transcriptionist needs to retrieve your audio file, create Microsoft Word templates, transcribe the dictation, and upload the file for your approval. Once again, the uploaded transcription becomes available for your approval in real time, and it appears on the Provider Dashboard so you'll know when it's complete and waiting for your review.
Import Manager
As you make the transition to an electronic medical record, you'll need to convert your paper charts, documents and other important information into the AdvancedEMR system by using the Import Manager. This useful tool is included with AdvancedEMR and creates fast and easy way to scan your documents. You can scan files in batches, categorize the files and attach them to patient charts-all from a single, easy-to-navigate interface.
"AdvancedMD is ideal for group practices. It's portable, efficient, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend it to any solo or group medical practice that wants to run an efficient front scheduling and billing system."
